Started in the Arts and Now I’m here…
Hello, I’m Amanda Lachapelle – maybe you came here because you were looking for my photography, or maybe you are here because you searched for something I have posted about. However, you came to this space on the internet – I hope you feel welcome. This is not a formal space – instead consider this a collection if you will, of all of the adventures I go on, the content I create and my journeys in the I.T. industry & beyond. You can check out my videos, podcasts or blog content from this page or if you want to chat with someone in the MSP space about documentation, training, employee engagement and building a great culture – I am here to lend an ear. If you like what you hear on the podcasts – you can always reach out to be a guest!
I should write something clever here but I would have to be clever…
First rule of this space is that you have to be willing to understand I like a little joke. Of, course I think I have something to offer in the way of knowledge or I wouldn’t have created this space!
So who the heck is Amanda Lachapelle, and why is there a whole website for me? I am a retired wedding photographer and current entrepreneur in the I.T. consulting industry. Beyond those personas, I am a human that is constantly learning from the world around me through each interaction with the people I meet. I have lived many lives – some adventures have been rewarding and some have been draining. What I’ve learned is that the lyrics to the song are very true “we are here for a good time, not a long time, so have a good time – the sun can’t shine every day”.
From customer service, to social work, to photography, to now working in tech, my core purpose has almost always been the same and well aligned: my reason for being is to use my intuition and analytical skills to help others see what is amazing in them and find ways to bring it to light. Whether that’s an individual, a team or an organization I am hoping that this space shows all the ways I can help. I have not always felt I belonged in this world and I know that the road can be lonely so no matter however you choose to engage I am happy you are here. Maybe you are here to listen to a podcast, maybe you want to book some time to talk through a personnel/organizational issue – it doesn’t matter what you need help with – I am here!
