I always try to tell my Brides to stay calm and go with the flow on the wedding day and take everything in stride. There is so much planning and decisions to make that it’s easy for something to go wrong but as long as you are surrounded by your loved ones and the two of you are together nothing else matters. Life will throw a thousand obstacles towards your marriage and a strong relationship is about being their for each other and rolling with the punches. Ashley told me on the morning of the wedding that she’d left quite a bit in the guys hands and then proceeded to tell me that she trusted them and if they didn’t follow through on every little thing – it wasn’t going to phase her. I loved her attitude! A wedding is about the union – the couples bond and relationship and the beginning of the journey forward. If you can weather any storm on your wedding day it sets the tone for the rest of your wedding. Although luckily, there were no storms on Ashley and Kenny’s day – it was just a beautiful, sunny August day and the day was full of laughter and silliness. Thanks again to such a fun bridal party and honestly for everyone from the top down to taking such good care of me. I have been so incredibly lucky to be blessed with clients who genuinely worry about me on wedding days and make sure I am eating and drinking and taking proper care of my baby. Congrats again to Ashley & Kenny as well as Brooklyn – the three of you have now made a new family and it was a joy to be a part of your day! I also want to take a moment to once again thank my AMAZING team for the day – thank you to Precious for second shooting with me (and even taking over at some points), thank you to Tracy for coming to fill in for the ceremony and a HUGE thank you to my super awesome brother Doug for taking good care of his pregnant sister by carrying around my bags and camera when I wasn’t shooting so that I could take a little easier.
