WELCOME TO MY BRAIN…

Outside the wind was crashing around, rain was pouring and tourists were trying to cover their heads with anything they could find. Inside, Kolleen was intrigued by the weather but not worried – since most of her guests were coming from out of town they were already at the hotel for check in. Why would a bride worry when getting married at the Prince of Wales? It’s a beautiful venue with an incredible amount of opulence. The rain just gave us an excuse to stay mostly inside and feature just that.

Watching Adam and Kolleen together is like watching one person instead of two – they just fit together; they are each others best friend, partner in crime and soul mate. I teared up during their ceremony when hearing a reading from my own wedding – when I got married I found that this perfectly described the life together my husband to be and I had and wanted for the rest of our lives.

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.

These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.

These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.

These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.

These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.

These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.

These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.

These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.

And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Adam and Kolleen’s day was just so easy to be a apart of – no stress and full of so much love and emotion. The unspoken tenderness mentioned in the reading was a constant, tangible thing that we could see between them Everything was warm and intimate and I know that both Precious and I really enjoyed the day.

Can’t wait to share these images with you… (yes Adam even the ones of you crying!)

Seriously the first frame of Kolleen’s father’s face as he saw his daughter for the first time was priceless.

She “looks” like an angel here!

These connections photos kill me – most of the crowd looking at the bride, especially her Mother who looks so proud, the brides Brother looking at the man who is about to marry his little sister and looking so happy for her, the grooms Mother a little out of focus but looking so happy at Adam’s choice for a wife.

I love this moment – despite his stoic effort to try and hold back tears – they still made their way forward.

Putting Adam and Kolleen together in photos is bound to equal in lots of kissing photos – anytime we asked for a little kiss Adam never hesitated.

These two warned me during our meeting that they weren’t easy to photograph – I say pshaw to that – they look like models to me!

Gorgeous flowers from Cathy Martin Flowers and cupcakes and macarons from Designer Delights. Looks absolutely decadent ladies!

Lovely day and lovely evening, thanks again for choosing me to be a part of your day!
