I’ve had a lot of special relationships with my couples in the past, some friends before hiring me, some family and some complete strangers that just felt like kindred spirits. Never before though have I ever had such a special kind of relationship with a couple though. Kiera and Adam met on a beautiful day – one of the best days – the day of Kiera’s sister Amanda’s wedding. It really was a beautiful day! Full of so much love and definitely a lot of laughter. I can’t imagine a more daunting first date – never mind that this was a blind date. It turns out these two were so meant to be that 4 years later I found myself with the same family, in the same ballroom – celebrating another daughters wedding. I can’t tell you how much this meant to me to be a part of their day. Photographing weddings is really capturing the beginning of a family but how amazing to know that I was there from the very, very beginning of a relationship. These two are some of the sweetest people you will ever meet and dearly love to laugh. It was easy to capture the smiles and this was in spite of some pretty wet weather – really though nothing could dampen their happiness and despite any drops of rain – being in their presence made you feel like the world was full of sunshine. Thank you, thank you, thank you for choosing me – for trusting me to tell your story – I can’t wait to see you grow in love and what life has in store for you.
