For my first time anywhere tropical, isn’t it fun that I am in Jamaica for a wedding. The weather is this heady mix of humidity, warmth and a gorgeous wind that just wraps around you. This location and weather is so perfect for Dan and Crystal and I can tell why they chose this resort. The staff are extremely friendly and accomodating and the grounds feel very intimate – I am so very glad they chose to go with a boutique hotel instead of one of the larger chains and even more importantly I am extremely honoured they chose me to tell their story. I will be doing this blog post in three parts so that we can get through all of the images without it being overwhelming and so the family back home will be able to follow along even though they couldn’t make it.
With family arriving on different dates and from many corners of the world Dan and Crystal decided to do a welcome/rehearsal dinner to get everyone together to enjoy some delicious food, listen to a steel drum band, view the beach and mingle. Dan and Crystal put a lot of thought into creating a warm atmosphere and set up some fun events for everyone to enjoy this first night all together. Bryan and I wanted to capture the conversations, the enjoyment and the beginning of this very exciting week together to celebrate these two – hope you enjoy the images…
Probably my favourite part of the night is this next part – they got white chinese lanterns for everyone to set adrift on the beach – it was so beautiful to see all these lights – like good wishes – sent out into the universe by their loved ones…
The ended the night with a bonfire and a smores bar – so yummy!
Can’t wait for the wedding tomorrow!!!
