Kristen + Jeff - Amanda Lachapelle

I find that I have so much in common with my brides – I think that’s probably one of the reasons we end up clicking. With Kristen and Jeff I just love how easy these two are with each other and their just a joy to be around. For their engagement shoot we headed out to the spot where Jeff proposed and had a blast. I am going to share the photos below but I’d love to share a little piece of the email that Kristin sent me after getting her photos…

I just wanted to say that we got the engagement pictures yesterday in the mail and we absolutely love them! Thank you so much! Especially the one picture where Jeff and I were sitting up on the stone bridge which when I saw it I started to tear up. When I saw it, I was instantly transported back the day when Jeff sat me on the bridge after proposing to me…me in tears…explaining all the events that brought us to that moment. It’s a magical picture for me…

I loved getting that e-mail – not because it made me feel good and like an amazing photographer – capturing that photo had nothing to do with what settings I chose or composition it had more to do with listening to Kristin and what she wanted. She wanted photos in the location where her prince charming asked her to be his forever. Getting a chance to get to know her and Jeff and what was important to them allowed me to shoot for them instead of for myself.

Kristin is just as much of a fan of top model as I am and wanted to do a non smiling more fine art portrait of them – love her hair and how this turned out!
