I love being a part of the Vintage Hotels preferred vendor list – some might think that working there is always the same but the truth is there is so much variety with clients and their approach to their day that it’s always a little different. Weddings there can be big in size, medium or like Mark and Catherine’s: small and intimate.
Shooting with my hubby Bryan, we were one of only 20 something people that got to witness their day and what a day it was. At times it almost felt like I was like Catherine’s Maid of Honour! But that’s one of my favourite parts of this job – being present as a photographer in the day but also as a person who cares about how your day goes and making things a smooth process. Anything I can do to keep you happy and enjoy your wedding day because it will reflect in the photos. Sometimes though we can only capture what is so to my complete joy when Mark forgot the rings (!!!!!!!) in the hotel room instead of getting angry – Catherine laughed, a guest ran to the other hotel, the order of service was changed a little bit and everyone had a laugh during the portion of the ceremony where the officiant commented on facing challenging times. It was great and lovely to see two people focused on each other and enjoying the day and whatever happens
