WELCOME TO MY BRAIN…

Homespun – Vintage – Rustic – These are all words that are music to my ears and they were all words that came out of Meredith’s mouth during our first meeting. I was absolutely bowled over then about how much detail was going to be involved in her wedding day. During the course of our meeting we went through the standard questions and yet it sounded like Meredith had already made up her mind. She talked about photography as an art form and how she was really coming to me because she loved what we do and because she trusted me to deliver what she was looking for plus I had a large quotient of photos in fields on my website. We talked about fields and her wedding DIY projects and I found myself tearing up at one point. Everything Meredith was saying and her entire vision was like someone had picked all of my wishes and wants for a bride and her wedding day and delivered them into one client.

There was a great connection and that was only solidified during their engagement session. We went to Jay’s parents house and Port Dalhousie and surprise surprise we shared something else in common 🙂 HARRY POTTER and TWILIGHT!!!!! Somehow I think we might be long lost sisters but I’ll settle for the priveledge of being there to witness the union between her and Jay. Jay is an equal match to Meredith and watching them together is like watching ballroom dancers waltz; Meredith leans into Jay for a laugh and his hand automatically comes up around her, as they walk together they smile easily, laugh often and share long looks of a love that will last them forever. I am so incredibly honoured to have been included in their day and to have laughed and cried along with them and their families as they said I do and celebrated their wedding day. It was a day filled with laughter, serenading, and plenty of tears. I need to throw a special shout out to Meredith’s mom who learned to play the ukelele and sang to Meredith and Jay as part of her speech. It was beautiful and touching and I am sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the house – at least I know I was bawling. Congratulations you two! Here are some of their photos .. ..
