If i titled my blog posts according to my clients personalities rather than their names I would have titled this one “kindred spirits” – yesterday I had the pleasure of heading out to Balls Falls and photographing Natalie and Adam’s engagement photos. As always during any kind of a shoot the conversation was going a mile a minute and of course as often happens, I discovered that the bride and I share something in common but in this case it’s almost more than a shared interest – I’d call it a shared love. Embarrassingly, I was talking about my mother, always joking (especially during my teenage years) that I was overdramatic, everything was always the end of the world, she’d tell me to give it up – and call me Anne (with an e) Shirley. As I was telling this story (yes, I regularly and often share funny and sometimes embarassing stories with my clients to make them laugh – and that folks is the trick to getting a good laughing picture 😉 and professing my love for my “bosom” buddy Anne – Natalie cried out “me too!”. When I think back to all of the “me too” memories with all of my clients on different subjects it makes me so happy and also makes me feel incredibly lucky that I am so fortunate to get brides (and yes sometimes grooms) that come my way with whom I have so many common interests. I love getting to know everyone and learning about who they are it’s one of the best parts of being a wedding photographer. On that note here is a few images from their session . . .
Ok so I’m pretty fearless when it comes to climbing to different spots but these guys were awesome – they are literally on the edge of this waterfall 🙂
Any one else out there who might be an Anne fan might get this – the white picket fence was too narrow but we figured the drop on the other side of this wall made it just as dangerous 🙂 Take that Josie Pye 🙂
Thanks again to Natalie and Adam for being so awesome – I had a great time 🙂
Wishing you friendship and love,
Amanda
